Damn the Machine was an American progressive metal band formed in 1991 by former Megadeth guitarist Chris Poland, his brother Mark Poland on drums, David Randi on bass, and vocalist and guitarist David Judson Clemmons. The band signed with A&M Records and released the self-titled debut album Damn the Machine (1993), which was accompanied by the promotional singles “The Mission” (1993), “Lonesome God” (1993), and “Silence” (1993). The group toured Europe with Dream Theater and North America with Voivod, Flotsam and Jetsam, and Excel before disbanding in 1994. The band's original studio demos were later released on the album Day One (2021).
