Marie Vermeulin, born on November 22, 1983 in Courcouronnes, France, is a classical pianist. She began her piano studies at the Boulogne-Billancourt Regional Conservatory and continued at the Lyon National Conservatory of Music from 2001 to 2004. Vermeulin also trained with Lazar Berman in Florence. Her breakthrough came in December 2004 when she won the first International Music Tournament. She released notable albums, including Matinées Du Piano (2011) and Messiaen: Preludes, Regards & Esquisses (2013). Vermeulin has performed internationally, collaborating with conductors such as Pierre Boulez. She received the Simone and Cino Del Duca Foundation Interpretation Prize in November 2014.
