Timo Blunck, born on March 25, 1962, in Buchholz in der Nordheide, Germany, is a German composer, lyricist, music producer, bassist, singer, and author. He began his musical journey at the age of nine with flute lessons under Manfred Trojahn. In 1978, Blunck and school friend Detlef Diederichsen formed the band Skafighter, which was later renamed Ede und die Zimmermänner (later just Die Zimmermänner), releasing their first single, Eva, Jürgen & Max, on Zick Zack Records in 1980. In 1981, he became the bassist for Palais Schaumburg, contributing as a background vocalist and co-writer to their first two albums, including the track "Telefon." The band signed with Mute Records in 1981 and toured Europe and the U.S., including performances at The Hacienda in Manchester and Danceteria in New York. From 1985 to 1990, Blunck was the singer and songwriter of Grace Kairos, which released two albums, Fall In Love With Frank! and Emotions Park, and achieved chart success in the Netherlands and Sweden.
