Электрофорез, a Russian synth-pop group, was founded in Saint Petersburg in 2012 by Ivan Kurochkin and Vitaly Talyzin. The duo's initial breakthrough came with the release of their first album #1 in October 2012, followed by the EP #2 in 2013. In 2014, Elektroforez gained attention when Afisha listed their 2017 album Quo Vadis? as one of the most anticipated Russian albums. The group's song "Vse bylo tak" was also notably featured in the film Gorodskie ptichki directed by Yuliya Belaya. In 2016, Elektroforez started actively touring, performing over 100 concerts across Russia, Belarus, the Baltic states, Germany, and Ukraine. In 2017, they won the Golden Gargoyle music award in the Electronic Project category and performed at Tallinn Music Week. The group's third album, 505, was rekeased in 2021.
