James Patrick O'Malley, also known as J. Pat O'Malley, born on March 15, 1904, in Burnley, Lancashire, was an English actor and singer. He began his career as a vocalist with Jack Hylton and his orchestra from 1930 to 1935, performing "Amy, Wonderful Amy" among other songs. In 1935, O'Malley moved to the United States, where he adopted the stage name J. Pat O'Malley to avoid confusion with another actor. He released several albums, including Swing Jack Hylton And His Orchestra 1935-1940. O'Malley's acting career spanned from the 1940s to 1982, appearing in numerous films and television shows such as Lassie Come Home (1943), The Adventures of Kit Carson (1951), and Perry Mason. He also performed on Broadway in productions like Ten Little Indians (1944) and Dial M for Murder (1954). O'Malley's career ended with his death on February 27, 1985.
