Adam Gussow, born on April 3, 1958, in New York City, is an American blues harmonica player and author. He grew up in Congers, New York, and was educated at Princeton University and Columbia University. His music career began under the mentorship of Nat Riddles and Sterling Magee. From 1986 to 1998, he played harmonica in the duo Satan and Adam with Magee, releasing five albums including Harlem Blues (1991). A brief extract of their performance was featured in U2's documentary Rattle and Hum. In 2010, he released his first solo album, Kick and Stomp. He is also a professor at the University of Mississippi and has authored several books, including Mister Satan's Apprentice (2009) and Whose Blues? (2020).
