Elizabeth Sombart, a French pianist born in Strasbourg in 1958, began her musical journey at age seven and studied at the Strasbourg Conservatory. Her breakthrough came with first prize wins in National Piano Awards and Chamber Music Awards, leading her to study under several classical piano masters across Europe. She performed as a featured soloist with orchestras in prominent halls, including Carnegie Hall and the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. She released multiple albums, including Schumann's Études Symphoniques (1991). Sombart's humanitarian efforts include founding the Fondation Résonnance in 1998, providing free music education and concerts to underprivileged communities. She received the National Order of Merit (Chevalier de l' Ordre National du Mérite) in 2006 for her humanitarian work and was made a Chevalier de l' Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2008 for her artistic achievements.
