Melgroove was a French soul and R&B band, active between 1997 and 2001. The group was composed of vocalists M'Passi, N'Dee, and Deidi, alongside producer and songwriter Patrick Anoh, who helped shape the band's sound within the emerging French R&B scene of the late 1990s. Melgroove released its debut album, Apoca arrive, in 1998, which produced two singles that found some success: "Pas Toi," a cover of a song by French singer-songwriter Jean-Jacques Goldman, and the title track, "Apoca Arrive." Together, the two singles helped establish the group within the French soul and R&B landscape of the period. Following Deidi's departure from the lineup in 2000, the remaining members regrouped to record a second album, Le Temps Qu'il Faudra, released in 2001. The album included the collaborative single "Viens,"recorded with the American rap group Das EFX, which became one of the group's more notable successes. Later that year, Melgroove disbanded, closing out a brief but active four-year run that saw the release of two full studio albums and a handful of singles blending soul, R&B, and hip-hop collaboration in a style characteristic of French R&B at the turn of the millennium.
