Chalk FarM is an American alternative rock ensemble from Los Angeles established in 1992. They achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by alternative rock and for their song "Lie On Lie". The ensemble achieved professional recognition for a career that included the debut studio recording Notwithstanding (1996) released on the label Columbia Records. The song "Lie On Lie" achieved professional recognition for receiving nationwide radio airplay and appearing on the television program MTV. Chalk FarM achieved professional recognition for performing as a support act for the musician Joe Walsh and the musician Seal. Their discography included the studio recording Three 2s (2000) released on the label TIC Records and appearing as the performing band in the movie Coyote Ugly (2000). The ensemble became inactive in 2000 and resumed activity in 2010. They achieved professional recognition for the extended play April E.P. (2011) and the extended play October E.P. (2011). Their recording career included the studio recording Into the Night (2012).
