Jason Wright Downs, born September 8, 1973, in Columbia, Maryland, is an American singer and actor. His music career began with the release of his debut single "White Boy With A Feather" on July 2, 2001. This track debuted at number 19 on the UK Singles Chart, marking a significant breakthrough for Downs. He followed this success with additional singles such as "Cherokee" (released December 5, 2001) and "Trippin'" (released in 2002). His debut album White Boy With A Feather was released on Jive Records in 2001. Downs' second album, The Spin, followed in 2004, featuring the single "Shut Up (Hook Up)". Throughout his career, Downs collaborated with rapper Milk Dee, who appeared on and produced many of his songs. His music spans various genres including folk, rock, country, and pop. In addition to his musical endeavors, Downs has had a notable acting career, appearing in films such as Hairspray, Clara's Heart, and Come Lovely. He also starred in the feature film Racing Daylight alongside David Strathairn, Melissa Leo, and Giancarlo Esposito. His television credits include roles in K.C. Undercover, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, NCIS: Hawaii, and Days of our Lives. Downs' last independently released album, Love Me Alone, was produced by Grammy Award winner Malcolm Burn.
