IANWILL (pronounced 'YAN-will') is a French metal band based between Paris and Lille, crafting a sound steeped in metalcore and death metal influences, where hard-hitting melodic writing meets a raw, incisive aesthetic.
After two EPs that laid the groundwork for their sonic identity, the band took a decisive turn in 2017 with a new line-up. This shift marked a major artistic transformation, sharpening their style toward a more technical and personal approach. Since then, IANWILL has performed across France and Europe, building a strong live reputation through gripping, intense performances. In 2019, they released their debut album One Credit Left, a record that caught the attention of the independent metal scene and cemented the band's identity.
In 2025, IANWILL returned with Echoes, an EP introduced by a first single in June 2024 and released in full on May 30, 2025. The record marks a key step in the band's evolution, weaving in djent influences and more modern textures while preserving the emotional intensity and striking impact that define their signature. Conceived as the opening of a new creative cycle, Echoes lays the foundations for a full-length album currently in the works, the next step for a band determined to keep pushing its limits.
