Dan Ettinger, born 10 June 1971 in Holon, Israel, is an Israeli baritone and conductor who studied at the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts and the Israel Academy of Music. After winning the Francois Shapira competition in 1993, he performed as a baritone with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra before turning to conducting in 1999. He has conducted Don Pasquale and La traviata, leading to roles as Music Director at the New Israeli Opera and, since 2023, at Teatro San Carlo in Naples. Ettinger has conducted major houses such as the Berlin State Opera, the Metropolitan Opera, and the Stuttgart Philharmonic, and premiered Wagner’s Ring des Nibelungen in Mannheim.
