Hearts of Soul, a Dutch girl group, was formed in 1969 by the Maessen sisters Bianca Maessen, Patricia Maessen, and Stella Maessen. Their debut single, "Oh What a Price", was issued in 1969, followed by the album The Hearts of Soul in 1970. In the same year, they won the Nationaal Songfestival with "Waterman", earning a seventh‑place finish at the Eurovision Song Contest in Amsterdam; Patricia Maessen performed solo due to contest rules. Subsequent releases included We Love the Policeman (1974) and Dream Express (1976). After relocating to Belgium, the group expanded with Luc Smets, becoming Dream Express and later LBS; they represented Belgium at Eurovision 1977 with "A Million in One, Two, Three", also placing seventh. The group disbanded in 1981 following personal splits, and Patricia Maessen died in 1996.
