Metin Türkcan, born Metin Aslan Türkcan in Karabük, Turkey, in 1971, is a Turkish guitarist and composer. He completed his secondary education at Kadıköy Anadolu Lisesi, studied at İstanbul Üniversitesi, and subsequently received music education at the Müjdat Gezen Sanat Merkezi. He began his professional music career at age fourteen, performing with the band Metafor, and later joined the metal group Disgrace, with whom he released the studio album D İs Crazy in 1993. Türkcan later performed with the group Chrokee before joining the heavy metal band Mezarkabul, which is known as Pentagram in Turkey, in 1992. He departed the band shortly after but rejoined the group in 2000, contributing to the studio albums Unspoken in 2001, Bir in 2002, MMXII in 2012, and Makina Elektrika in 2022, before leaving the lineup in 2026. In addition to Mezarkabul, Türkcan performed as the guitarist for rock singer Şebnem Ferah for approximately 21 years, contributing to her studio albums, including Perdeler in 2001 and Can Kırıkları in 2005, before they parted ways in 2017. He also played guitar for Ogün Sanlısoy from 2004 to 2007, and rejoined him in 2026. In 2008, Türkcan founded his own group, Metoboy, and released his debut solo studio album, Vakti Geldi, in 2016. In 2010, he signed an endorsement deal with ESP Guitars, who designed a signature model named ESP Metoboy for him. He is also active as an environmentalist.
