Meret Becker, born on January 15, 1969 in Bremen, Germany, is a German singer and actress who began performing in her childhood in the television program Rappelkiste and later appeared in the 1980 film Kaltgestellt. Her music career launched in the 1990s with the CD Meret Becker & Ars Vitalis - 1993 - '95 (1996), followed by the album Nachtmahr (1998). She released her solo album Fragiles in 2001. Subsequent recordings include Deins & Done (2014). Becker’s work was featured in several German films and television series, and she provided voice work for the Resident Evil film series. Her career was recognized with awards such as the Bayerischer Filmpreis in 1994 and the Max‑Ophüls‑Preis in 2004.
