Budzillus is a Berlin-based band formed in 2005. Founded by musicians Robert Kondorosi and Kristian Zepplin, the group originally performed as a duo using cajón and banjo before expanding into a rock-band formation in 2008 with vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and saxophone. Their recording history includes the EPs Best of Greatest Hits (2007), Devils Polka (2008), and Der Untergang (2011), the latter of which featured remixes by AKA AKA and Oliver Koletzki. The ensemble issued the studio albums BudZillus (2009), Auf Gedeih und Verderb (2012), and Besser wirds nicht (2015), the latter appearing on Munka Munka Records with distribution by Rough Trade. Budzillus appeared as themselves in the 2012 episode "Die Gurkenkönigin" of the television series Polizeiruf 110 and provided title music for the series Heiter bis tödlich: Hauptstadtrevier. Since 2008 the band has performed up to 100 concerts annually across more than a dozen countries including the United States and Russia.
