Oksana Aleksandrovna Pochepa, also known by the pseudonym Akula, is a Russian pop singer, songwriter, and actress who was born July 20, 1984 in Rostov-on-Don, USSR. She began her music career in 1997 as the soloist for the youth project Maloletka, releasing the album Где-то звёзды in 1999. In 2000, she moved to Moscow to join the music project Akula, releasing her solo debut album, Кислотный DJ, in 2001. She followed with her second album, Без любви, in 2002. After living in the United States from 2004 to 2006, she returned to Russia and resumed her concert activities under her real name. She released the albums Акула in 2010 and Звезда in 2014. Her subsequent work includes the 2024 singles “Tkya lbv” and “Новый год”, and she served as a composer for the film Баба Яга спасает Новый год (2024).
