A Jigsaw, a Portuguese folk, country, and blues band from Coimbra, was formed in 1999 by João Rui, Jorri, and Susana Ribeiro. Their distinctive sound features multi-instrumentalism, including guitar, harmonica, banjo, and traditional percussion instruments. In 2004, A Jigsaw released their debut EP From Underskin under Rewind Music. The group's first studio album, Letters from the Boatman, appeared in 2007. Following this success, the band was invited to perform live for the station's fourteenth anniversary. The band released the concept album Like the Wolf in 2010. Their 2011 album, Drunken Sailors & Happy Pirates, received coverage in international publications including The Guardian, Ruta66, and Les Inrockuptibles. Other albums released by the band include lion's eyes louder, and Rooftop Joe (2013). In 2012, A Jigsaw performed at the Festival para Gente Sentada alongside artists such as Tindersticks.
