Bernard Louis "Skipper" Wise, born March 6, 1957, in Los Angeles, was an American singer and musician. He began his musical journey with piano lessons from his mother and grandmother, later taking up guitar and bass. In 1983, Wise fronted the contemporary jazz group Windows, which delivered four top 10 radio records, including The French Laundry, which reached Number One on the radio charts. His solo debut came in 1989 with the Top 30 Single "Standing Outside in the Rain" on the European pop charts. In 1994, Wise partnered with producer Les Pierce to form Colour Club, delivering three albums with JVC America, including a self-titled album that reached Number Seven on the radio charts. In 1999, he left the music industry to dedicate his time full-time to Blue Microphones, an American audio production company he co-founded with Latvian recording engineer Mārtiņš Saulespurēns.
