Jenni Alpert is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist, and pianist born as Cameron Morantz in Los Angeles. Alpert achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by jazz and pop. She achieved professional recognition for a career that began after she was adopted at age four and started singing and playing the piano while living in foster homes. Alpert achieved professional recognition for receiving a scholarship to attend the UCLA Ethnomusicology Department and participating in the jazz program hosted by the musician Kenny Burrell. Her recording career began with the debut studio recording Honest Smile (1999). Alpert's discography included the studio recording Pieces (2005) and the live recording 27 Minutes in Bologna (2007). She achieved professional recognition for the studio recording No Second Guesses (2008) which received radio airplay in the Netherlands.
