Sons of Otis is a Canadian stoner rock and doom metal band from Toronto, Ontario, formed around 1992 by Ken Baluke. Initially known as Otis, they changed their name due to legal reasons and released their debut album Paid to Suffer in 1994. Influenced by underground heavy music acts like Melvins, Fudge Tunnel, and Shallow N.D., they released the albums Spacejumbofudge (1996) and Temple Ball (1999). They toured Europe in 2000 and North America with Electric Wizard and Unearthly Trance in 2002. Their other albums include Songs for Worship (2001), X (2005), Exiled (2009), Seismic (2012), and Isolation (2020). Their discography also features the Untitled EP (2001), the split release Sons of Otis / Queen Elephantine - Split (2007), and the live album Live in Den Bosch (2018).
