White Wizzard, an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, was formed in 2007 by bassist Jon Leon. Their first release, the demo White Wizzard, featured the song "High Speed GTO", which won Best Music Video at the 2008 Action On Film Festival. The band's EP High Speed Gto followed in 2009. White Wizzard released their debut full-length album, Over the Top, in 2010, followed by Flying Tigers in 2011 and The Devil's Cut in 2013. The band underwent numerous lineup changes throughout its history, with Jon Leon remaining the sole constant member. White Wizzard was nominated for Best New Artist in the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards 2010. The band's disbandment was announced in April 2018 but reformed in 2019.
