Explicit Samouraï, a French rap group from Bagneux, Hauts-de-Seine, was formed in 1996 by Leeroy Kesiah and Specta. The group initially participated in the creation of the Saian Supa Crew collective, with DJ Eddy Kent joining occasionally. They also contributed to the compilation Kool & Radikal and created the label Toxic Label. Specta left Saian Supa Crew in 2003, allowing Explicit Samouraï to focus on various projects, including the series of DVDs Toxic TV. In 2004, they released their maxi-single La Danse du Sabre. In 2005, they released their album RAP, which peaked at number 77 on the French albums chart. The group also published a tribute maxi-single, "Jump Around," before disbanding around 2005.
