The Black Tartan Clan, currently known as Black Tartans, is a Belgian Celtic punk rock band from Roosdaal established in 2008. The group was founded by bassist MacPie, guitarist MacTouche, vocalist MacLoud, drummer D. Dee, and bagpipe player MacHoze, who all adopted pseudonyms beginning with "Mac" and performed in black kilts. They released their debut demo, Demo, and their debut studio album, Boots, Kilts 'N Pipes, in 2008. They followed with the albums The Loyal Men (2010) and Don't Walk Alone (2013), and the extended play Standing Strong (2011) which featured the track “Standing Strong”. Their fourth studio album, Scotland in Our Hearts (2014), was released independently and featured lyrics primarily in French with some in English. In 2014, they performed on the show Hells Bells. Following a brief hiatus after the departure of MacTouche in 2017, the group reformed under the name Black Tartans. This new six-member lineup released the album Never Stop in 2023.
