Ángel Parra Trío is a Chilean jazz band formed in 1989 in Santiago, Chile. Founded by guitarist and composer Ángel Parra Jr., the group emerged as a major force in the renovation of the Chilean jazz scene following the end of the military regime. The first stable lineup, featuring bassist Roberto Lindl and drummer Francisco Molina, recorded the debut album Ángel Parra Trío (1992). Subsequent studio releases include Patana (1995), Piscola Standards (1996), Tequila!!! (1998), No junta ni pega (2000), and Vamos que se puede (2003). The group also issued the double live album La hora feliz (2002) and collaborated with guitarist Óscar Arriagada on Playa solitaria (2005). After a temporary hiatus, they reactivated to record Un año más (2008) and Espérame (2009) with pianist Valentín Trujillo. Following Lindl's departure in 2013, the band reorganized as a Hammond organ trio, releasing the live album Dulce compañía (2016).
