Anna Kristin Webber, also known as Anna Webber, was born on November 26, 1984, in Vancouver, Canada, and is a Canadian saxophonist, flutist, and composer of avant-garde jazz based in Brooklyn. She released her debut album Third Floor People in 2010 on Nowt Records, featuring a bass‑less septet. She has collaborated with John Hollenbeck, Matt Mitchell, and Jeremy Viner, and has earned the 2010 Prix François‑Marcaurelle, the 2014 BMI Charlie Parker Composition Prize, and a 2018 Guggenheim Fellowship. Subsequent releases include Percussive Mechanics (2013), Simple (2014), Clockwise (2019), Rectangles (2020), Idiom (2021), and Shimmer Wince (2023).
