U Škripcu, a Yugoslav and Serbian new wave music group formed in 1980 in Belgrade by Milan Delčić, Aleksandar Vasiljević, and Zoran Vulović. Their first recordings, "Južno voće" and "Pamflex dom", appeared on the 1981 compilation Artistička radna akcija. The band's debut album, Godine ljubavi, was released by PGP-RTB in 1982. In 1983, U Škripcu signed with Jugoton and released the albums O je! and Nove godine!, achieving nationwide commercial success. Their subsequent album, Budimo zajedno!, was less successful, leading to their first disbandment in 1985. After a brief reunion in 1986, the band released the power pop-influenced album U škripcu. Following another hiatus, U Škripcu reunited and recorded the critically acclaimed album Izgleda da mi smo sami before ending their activity with the outbreak of the Yugoslav Wars.
