Polluted Inheritance was a Dutch technical death metal band formed in August 1989 in Terneuzen. The group released their first EP, After Life, in 1991, which led to a deal with West Virginia Records. In 1992, they released their debut album Ecocide. After the label's bankruptcy, Polluted Inheritance continued working on new material and signed with DSFA Records in 1996 for the release of Betrayed. The band recorded their final album, Into Darkness, in 2001. Following a lineup change, they signed with Rokarola Records for its 2001 release. Polluted Inheritance announced its disbandment on August 31, 2008.
