Stanislao Marino, born 25 February 1951 in Amantea, Calabria, Italy, is an Italian‑Venezuelan Christian pop singer whose career began in the late 1960s after his family emigrated to Venezuela. Marino first emerged as a vocalist and bassist with the group Los Cazadores, winning the 1970 “Impulso” festival with the song "Cuando viviremos como Dios Manda". The success prompted his transition to a solo career. His debut solo album La Gran Tribulación (1976) was followed by a prolific output, including A Mi Lado Esta El Señor (1977), Yo Soy Jesus (1977), and La Persecucion (1978), and a series of releases throughout the 1980s and 1990s, such as La Iglesia Del Señor (1990) and El Pueblo Libre (1991). Marino’s work earned multiple AMCL awards, notably Artist of the Year in 1985 and 1987, and Album of the Year for La Gran Tribulación (1985) and Es Tiempo Ya (1987). His recordings often featured self‑produced instrumentation and were distributed across Latin America, the United States, and Spain, establishing a broad fan base.
