Live Skull is an American post-punk and experimental rock band from New York City, formed in 1982 by guitarists Mark C. and Tom Paine. They released their self-titled debut EP, Live Skull (1984), on Massive Records and signed to Homestead Records for their first full-length album, Bringing Home the Bait (1985). Notable releases include Cloud One (1986) and Dusted (1987), which featured Thalia Zedek as lead singer and Richard Hutchins on drums. They disbanded in 1990 due to a sustained lack of commercial success. In 2016, Mark C., Marnie Greenholz, and Hutchins reunited to perform at Martin Bisi's B.C. Studio. They released the albums Saturday Night Massacre (2019) and Dangerous Visions (2020). Their discography also includes the albums Positraction (1989) and Party Zero (2023).
