Perri is an American R&B vocal ensemble from Bakersfield established in 1981. The group consists of the musicians Carol Perry, Darlene Perry, Lori Perry, and Sharon Perry. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by R&B, soul, and gospel. Their recording career began after sending a demo to the musician Pat Metheny and touring with him between 1983 and 1985. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the debut studio recording Celebrate (1986) which reached number 48 on the Top Jazz Albums chart. The recording featured the song “Maybe Tomorrow” (1986). Perri achieved professional recognition for performing on the Rapture Tour with the musician Anita Baker (1986). Their discography included the studio recording The Flight (1988) featuring the song “I'm the One” and the song “Fall in Love”. They achieved professional recognition for the song “Feels So Good” (1989) featured in the film Do the Right Thing. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Tradewinds (1990) which reached number 30 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart and featured the song “Someone Like You”. Their recording career included the studio recording Back to You (2016).
