Betty Goes Green was a Belgian rock band formed in 1990 in Hal. Founded as the successor to The Killer T-Bag by Luc Crabbé and Nathalie Duyver, they released their debut studio album, Hell of a Show (1991). In 1992, the group was discovered by Lou Reed and his producer Mike Rathke, who produced their second album, Hunaluria (1993). Rathke also produced the album Hand Some (1994), which featured a guest vocal contribution from Reed. Following the death of their original guitarist Pieter De Cort in 1994, they signed with the label B-Track and released the album Hedonic Tone (1996). They subsequently toured Europe as a support act for Reed. They moved to Sony for the release of The Well (1998), which included the hit single “The Well” (1998). Due to creative differences with the label, they returned to a smaller company for their final studio recording, Dreamers & Lovers (2000). The ensemble disbanded shortly after, having performed more than 900 concerts across Europe.
