Richard in Your Mind, an Australian psychedelic pop band from Sydney, was formed in 2006 by Richard Cartwright and Conrad Richters. The group expanded in 2008 with Pat Torres and Jordy Lane, later adding Brent Griffin and Alyx Dennison. Their debut album, The Future Prehistoric, was released in December 2007, followed by the online-only Summertime EP in 2009. The band's second album, My Volcano, came out in 2010, and their third, Sun, in 2011. Their fourth album, Ponderosa, was released on August 29, 2014, and their fifth, Super Love Brain, on September 21, 2018. Known for their 'sampledelica' sound, which blends 60s psychedelic pop with modern hip hop and electronic influences, Richard in Your Mind have been recognized for their elaborate live performances. The band has received several nominations in the AIR Awards, Australian Music Prize, and J Award.
