The Dogbones, an alternative rock band from London, was formed in late 2007. The band consisted of Crispin Gray (a.k.a. Johnny Orion), Nomi Leonard, Michael Vakalis, and Vince Johnson, all former members of notable alternative bands Daisy Chainsaw and Queenadreena. Their self-titled debut album The Dogbones was released in October 2010, through their own label Buzz Saw and distributed by Cadiz Music. The album featured the single "I Want Alcohol" , along with music videos for "The Whole World is Weird" and "All Your Friends (Are Going to Kill You)". The band's unique sound, described as a mix of voodoo rock, glam-punk, and grrl music, gained attention in the UK. In 2015, The Dogbones went on hiatus, with members Johnny Orion and Michael Vakalis continuing their musical careers in the indie rock band Starsha Lee.
