Leif Morgan Ågren (born July 13, 1967) is a Swedish progressive rock and jazz fusion drummer and composer from Umeå. Ågren began drumming at age four and formed the duo Zappsteetoot with Mats Öberg in 1984. In 1988, Ågren performed with Frank Zappa, later contributing to the Grammy-winning album Zappa's Universe (1993) and sharing drum duties with Terry Bozzio on the Dweezil Zappa album Shampoohorn (1994). Ågren toured with Glenn Hughes in 1996 and established the label Ultimate Audio Entertainment. As a member of Fleshquartet, Ågren appeared on the Grammis-winning Goodbye Sweden (1990). He joined Kaipa in 2002, recording Notes from the Past and Keyholder. Ågren’s solo works include Batterie Deluxe (2015) and Through the Eyes of a Morgchestra (2016). He performed on Devin Townsend’s Casualties of Cool (2014) and Empath (2019). In 2010, Ågren was voted best fusion drummer by Modern Drummer.
