Tia Fuller, born March 27, 1976, in Aurora, Colorado, is an American saxophonist and composer. She began playing piano at age three and later switched to saxophone. After graduating from Spelman College, she pursued further studies and received a Master's in Music, Jazz, and Pedagogy from the University of Colorado at Boulder. In 2005, Fuller released her debut album, Pillar of Strength. She gained recognition as part of Beyoncé's backing band and was nominated for a Grammy Award for her 2018 album Diamond Cut. In 2019, she also joined Roy Haynes, Jon Batiste, Linda May Han Oh, and Marcus Gilmore in recording music for The Walt Disney Company's film Soul. Fuller has released several albums, including Decisive Steps (2010) and Angelic Warner (2012). She has also taught at the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
