François Thuillier, born in 1967 in Doullens, France, is a tuba player. He began his musical journey at a young age, studying at the conservatories of Amiens, Lille, and Roubaix before joining the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris in 1986. Thuillier's early breakthrough came with his recruitment by the wind orchestra of the Paris Police Band in 1989. His career has since spanned multiple roles, including orchestral musician, educator, and jazz performer. He has also been a professor at the Amiens Regional Conservatory and began directing the festival Jazz à Montonvillers in 2004. Thuillier's discography included notable works such as Dédicaces (2008) with Pierre "Tiboum" Guignon and Vents Divers (2017), and collaborations with prominent artists like Andy Emler and Jean-Marie Machado.
