The Great Divide, an American Red Dirt band from Oklahoma, United States, was formed in 1992 by Mike McClure, Scott Lester, J.J. Lester, and Kelley Green. They released their first album, Goin’ for Broke, independently in 1994. The band gained attention opening for artists like Willie Nelson. In 1997, Atlantic Records signed them after the success of Break In The Storm, which reached the official country charts. Subsequent albums included Revolutions (1999) and Afterglow: The Will Rogers Sessions (2000). McClure left in 2003, and the band disbanded in 2007. They reunited for a comeback show in 2011 and released the compilation album 25 Years of The Great Divide in 2018 and Union (Reloaded) in 2019.
