Raimonds Tiguls is a Latvian ambient and electronic musician and composer born on 5 December 1972 in Talsi, Latvian SSR. He achieved professional recognition following the release of his debut studio album, Moonlight Sound Design (1999). Tiguls received the Annual Latvian Music Recording Award for Best Instrumental, Film or Theatre Musical Album for the studio recording Bay Lounge (2003). He followed this with the studio album Zils. Balts. Zaļš. (2006), which received awards for Best Contemporary Folk Music Album and Best Instrumental, Film or Theatre Musical Album. Tiguls is the organizer of concerts at Tiguļkalns in Talsi. His compositions “Lec, saulīte!” (2018) and “Dod, dieviņi!” (2018) were performed at the closing concert of the Latvian Song and Dance Festival. His recording career includes the studio albums Vēstule Ziemassvētkos (2009) and Islands (2012). Tiguls also wrote the musical score for the historical drama film Soviet Milk (2023).
