Fabrice Alleman is a Belgian jazz saxophonist and composer born on April 30, 1967, in Mons, Belgium. He began his professional music career in 1990 after joining the jazz department of the Conservatory of Brussels. In 1992, the year he entered the Manhattan School of Music in New York, he won a first prize in saxophone. His early collaborations included working with artists such as Salvatore Adamo, William Sheller, and the Calvin Owens Blues Orchestra. He recorded his debut album, Duo, with guitarist Paolo Loveri in 1996, followed by the quartet album Loop the Loop in 1998. He performed with notable jazz musicians including Richard Rousselet, Michel Herr, Steve Houben, Jean Warland, and Bruno Castellucci. In 1997, his performance with a quartet at the Festival de Jazz de Liège earned him the “Nicolas Dor” prize for the best Belgian performance. His subsequent albums include Sides of Life (2004), The Duet (2009) with Jean Warland, and Obviously (2013).
