Da Iguana is the solo musical project of Pierre, French traveller, musician, producer, DJ & live music artist based in southern Bretagne, France.
Since his first official release in 2018 with his LP "Itzamna", he step by step gained exposure to become a respected act in psychedelic and multicultural electronic music scenes. Started as one of the most prolific producers on the Slow Techno and Downtempo scene, he engaged progressively in exploring a wider variety of tempos and electronic music genres, always with his bass driven, percussive and organic sounding approach and particular love for afro-latin rhythms.Mash-up expert, sound explorer in love with the fusion of styles, he releases tracks ranging from cumbia digital to psychedelic & indie house, tribal techno, speedy dembow, deep organic bass music or ambient, always playing around with groovy bass gimmicks, percussions, field recording, psychedelic sound design, traditional music sampling and real instruments he plays in his little studio : guitar, bass guitar, oud, kalimbas, djembe, bongos, congas, darbuka, gopichand...
Travels, underground scenes of the globe, festivals and musical encounters inspired him to create “transcultural music” : a sound connecting together cultures of different timelines and continents.
