Jonny Teupen, born on 9 January 1923 in Berlin, was a German harpist and composer who specialized in modern jazz and easy listening. After studying under Max Saal at the Berlin Academy of Music, he joined the Theater des Volkes and the Staatsoper Unter den Linden before becoming a solo harpist for NWDR in 1949, later serving the WDR Radio Orchestra Cologne until 1985. He notably collaborated with Paul Kuhn and Helmut Zacharias on WDR productions. In 1966, he released the album Play Harp, followed by Harpadelic in 1969 and Harporhythm in 1971. His 1986 release Just Friends featured Ack van Rooyen and Bruno Castellucci. He passed away on August 17, 1991 in Cologne.
