LABOUM, a South Korean girl group, debuted on August 28, 2014, under NH Media and Nega Network's joint venture Global H. The group initially consisted of six members: Soyeon, Jinye, Yulhee, Solbin, Haein, and Yujeong. LABOUM was conceived as a sister group to U-KISS and Brown Eyed Girls. Their debut came with the single album Petit Macaron, featuring the lead track "Pit-A-Pat", which was written by Seo Ji-eum and composed by Jung Jae-yeob. The group's early career saw them release several singles and EPs, including "Sugar Sugar" in 2015 and "Aalow Aalow". In February 2016, LABOUM launched a crowdfunding campaign for their next music video on Makestar, which exceeded its goal by over 300%. Their subsequent releases included the mini-albums Love Sign (2016) and Miss This Kiss (2017), with the latter earning them their first music show win on Music Bank. Yulhee left the group in November 2017, followed by Yujeong in September 2021. Despite these changes, LABOUM continued to release music, including their debut Japanese single "Hwi Hwi" and their first full-length album Two Of Us (2019). The group entered a hiatus on September 23, 2022, as members pursued solo projects.
