Ugia Pedreira, born Maria Eugénia Pedreira Sanches on February 10, 1970, in Vilaronte, Lugo, Spain, is a singer-songwriter. She gained recognition through her work with the folk group Chouteira and became prominent in Galician rock music during the 1990s, collaborating with bands such as Xenreira, Nen@s da Revolta, A Matraca Preversa, and Galegoz. Pedreira founded the Conservatory of Traditional and Folk Music (CMTF) in Lalín in 2000, later moving it to Santiago de Compostela and renaming it aCentral Folque. She has released notable albums like Segmento Cantábrico (2021) and Basal (2024) and collaborated with artists such as Fred Martins and Eliseo Parra.
