Yulia Olegovna Volkova, known professionally as Julia Volkova, was born on February 20, 1985, in Moscow, Russia, and is a Russian singer. She began her musical journey at age six by enrolling in music school to learn the piano, and later joined Russia's children's chorus Neposedy. In 1999, she formed the duo t.A.T.u. with Lena Katina under the management of Ivan Shapovalov. The group gained international fame with their debut single "All the Things She Said" (2002), which topped charts in multiple countries and sparked controversy due to its lesbian themes. t.A.T.u. released three English-language studio albums, 200 km/h in the Wrong Lane (2002), Dangerous and Moving (2005), and Waste Management (2010). The duo also participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2003, finishing third with "Ne Ver', Ne Boysia". In March 2011, t.A.T.u. officially disbanded. Volkova then signed a solo contract with Gala Records and released her debut single "All Because of You" (2011). In 2020, he competed in the NTV television show Superstar! Return.
