Ben Marwood, from Reading, Berkshire, England, is an English singer-songwriter. He began performing solo shows from 2002 and released his debut mini-album, This Is Not What You Had Planned (2008), to critical acclaim. In 2011, Marwood signed with Xtra Mile Recordings and released his debut album, Outside There's a Curse (2011), which received positive reviews including a score of four out of five from Kerrang! and eight out of ten from Rocksound. The album was supported by national headline tours and a support slot with Frank Turner. Marwood also performed at the 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremony as part of Frank Turner's extended backing band. His second album, Back Down (2013), was released on Xtra Mile Recordings.
