Canadian Invasion is a power pop band from Philadelphia. They've been recognized by the Washington Post, Spin Magazine, and MAGNET Magazine, who called them "Philadelphia's best power pop band" on the occasion of their 2009 album Three Cheers for the Invisible Hand.
Primary songwriter Andy Canadian marries power pop hooks with wry, thoughtful lyrics about suburban ennui and the insanity of 21st Century America. He's joined by multi-instrumentalist Eric Miller, bassist Jim Foley, drummer , and long-time songwriting collaborator and co-vocalist Matt Wanamaker ().
After a lengthy hiatus following their epic choose-your-own-adventure style narrative album Choose Your Own Damn Adventure (2014), the band reunited to release the single "Songs Your Girlfriend Likes" in 2021. In 2022 they released 3 EPs of remastered songs not previously available to stream. Now in 2023, they've begun a series of singles with their latest, a cover of Michael Penn's 1989 song "No Myth", due out in October.
