Native Guns was an American hip-hop group based in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area, formed in 2002 by Filipino American, Chinese American, and other American MCs and DJs. The group emerged from the Filipino American hip-hop scene and drew on the alternative approach associated with the Native Tongues movement, offering an alternative to the gangsta rap that dominated the genre during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Native Guns released two mixtapes, Stray Bullets Mixtape Vol. 1 (2004) and Stray Bullets Mixtape Vol. 2 (2007), as well as their sole full-length studio album, Barrel Men (2006). The group disbanded in 2007.
