XPQ-21 is a German electronic band that formed in 1998. The ensemble was founded by the musician The Jeyênne and the musician Nicque and is famous for its hits “White and Alive” and “Dead Body” and for blending genres such as electropunk, industrial, and EBM. The Jeyênne achieved professional recognition in the early 1990s as a DJ and solo project, releasing the single “The Jeyênne” (1992) and performing alongside artists including Moby and The Prodigy. Their discography includes the debut single “A Gothic Novel” (1998) and the studio recordings Destroy to Create (1999), Belle Epoque (2000), and Chi (2001), the latter of which featured the hit “White and Alive”. After Nicque’s departure in 2003, The Jeyênne continued the project with various members including Andy Haywire and Annelie Bertilsson. The ensemble’s work also includes the studio recordings Alive (2006) and Overgod (2025), as well as the single “Machines” (2022), which reached number 2 on the Deutsche Alternative Charts.
