Aosoth is a French black metal band from Paris, formed in 2002 as a side project by members of Antaeus. The group initially featured MkM on vocals and BST on guitar and drum machine programming. Aosoth released the split release Temple of Baal and Aosoth in 2007. Their first full-length album, Aosoth, was published in 2008, followed by Ashes of Angels in 2009 and III : Violences and Variations in 2011. The band's fourth studio album, IV: An Arrow in Heart, was released in 2013. Other notable albums include V: The Inside Scriptures (2017). In 2016, they were recognized by Metal Hammer as one of the top ten best French metal bands.
